I have nothing against applications, applications are great! But there are many of them and the interaction that they offer us is not always convenient. Such a narrow solution simply does not scale up to interact with a host of smart devices. Currently, most smart devices for the Internet of things require the installation of a special application. If we believe in Moore’s law, then small, inexpensive, connected devices will soon burst into our lives, filling our homes, workplaces and public places.

But if you find yourself in another country for work or on vacation, you most likely will need to install several more applications. Many of us have applications for public transport, paying for parking, renting cars or bicycles. At first glance, it looks normal, right?īut smart devices can surround us not only at home. But what does our interaction with such devices look like today, for example, initial setup and monitoring? In the vast majority of cases, each manufacturer has an application with which we can interact with its products. Every day more and more smart devices from various manufacturers appear on the market, and some of them are really good and useful. We already have smart thermostats, scales, cameras, televisions, refrigerators, sensors, locks and so on.
